Abstract

Background: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV2) virus. In 2021 the government changes the learning system again to a face-to-face system so that students need to adapt again to carry out the face-to-face learning process wherein this condition students must be able to understand covid-19. Objectives: This study was to determine the Effect of Health Education on Strengthening and Understanding Covid-19 on Anxiety Levels of Students at SMP Negeri 26 Malang City. Methods: This study uses an analytical observation design with a Quasy Experiment approach. The population is 100 students and the sample is taken according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, determined by a simple random sampling technique as many as 80 students. Collecting data using a questionnaire sheet instrument on anxiety levels using HARS (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety) and providing health education treatment about Strengthening and Understanding Covid-19. Anxiety Level Results Students in the group before being given Health Education on Strengthening and Understanding Covid-19 had an average posttest score of 50.3, while after being given the treatment, they had a pretest average score of 70.48. The group experienced a decrease of 20.18. The analysis used is if the data is normally distributed, then Paired t-test parametric data analysis is used and if the data is not normally distributed then non-parametric data analysis is used in the form of Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks Test. The results of the analysis carried out that the data obtained were not normally distributed so that the Wilcoxon data test was carried out. The basis for decision-making is based on the 95% confidence level or = 0.05. If p < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Results: Based on the results of this study, there is an effect of Health Education on Strengthening and Understanding of Covid-19 on Students' Anxiety Levels at SMP Negeri 26 Malang City with an Asymp score. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000. Conclusion: The results of this study, students at SMP Negeri 26 Malang City have knowledge and understanding about Covid-19 and the anxiety experienced by students have decreased.

Abstract

Background: Mobile-health assists health workers in monitoring and observing patient compliance behavior during TB treatment. Objectives: The purpose of this review is to identify the use of mobile-health interventions in improving medication compliance behavior in tuberculosis patients. Design: This research was conducted by following the scoping framework. Data Sources: This study was conducted following a scoping review framework. This research literature search relied on data from PubMed, Scopus, and Science Direct databases. Using the keywords “mobile application”, “Directly-Observed Treatment Short-course (DOTS)”, “medication adherence”, “tuberculosis patients”, and “mobile-health”. This scoping review uses data from 10 articles published between 2010-2019. Utilization of Mobile-Health in improving drug adherence of TB patients. Review Methods: The particle screening method was used for the review and was guided by the PRISMA diagram. As well as an analysis of the articles reviewed. Results: The m-health intervention has a positive impact on TB treatment. The benefits of m-health are increasing patient knowledge, providing social support, providing motivational support and increasing patient compliance behavior during treatment. The m-health application contains features such as short message service (SMS), video, telephone, and picture messages. Conclusion: Mobile-health interventions can be applied independently with counseling, motivation and health education in improving medication compliance behavior. The advantages of mobile-health are that patients become more open, it saves time and distance, and also it strengthens communication between nurses and patients.

Abstract

Background: Post-traumatic growth is a life change. People living with HIV who start to adapt to the current condition have a better life and positive emotion by rediscovering happiness. Post-traumatic growth occurs due to individual thoughts regarding life purposes and reviewing their life priorities. Objectives: This study aimed to explore the post-traumatic growth process experienced by people living with HIV. Methods: This study employed the qualitative study method with a descriptive phenomenology approach on six participants with HIV at Yayasan Sehat Peduli Kasih, Semarang. The participants were selected following the inclusion criteria, i.e., 24-25-year-olds with no cognitive disorders and regular treatments. The exclusion criteria in this study were participants who could not attend the interview process, although the researchers already made recurring appointments. The interview type utilized in this study was a semi-structured interview. The data analysis model in this study followed the data analysis steps of the colaizzi method. Results: Four themes emerged as part of post-traumatic growth. The four identified themes in this study are 1) early stage of HIV positive, 2) post-traumatic growth process, 3) becoming a better person after rediscovering life, and 4) future wishes after rediscovering life. The acquired themes are illustrations of post-traumatic growth in rediscovering life. Conclusion: Most People living with HIV have rediscovered purposes and wishes, although they continue to eliminate self-stigma and transform self-image to be positive. It is necessary to develop an HIV intervention program to improve and help the sufferers encounter internal stigma. The interventions include any ECT and spiritual mindfulness that focus on improving self-confidence.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. This stage of development is a transitional period of self-discovery marked by physical, emotional, and psychological changes. However, young people are often faced with poverty, sexual abuse, or violence, making teens vulnerable to mental health problems. Adolescents who live in rural areas are likely to be more susceptible to mental health problems because rural areas have a high degree of social intimacy, and the economic focus is on the agricultural sector. So, the psychological pressure on adolescents in rural areas will be heavier, and if the coping mechanism is not suitable, these adolescents will be more susceptible to depression. Objective: This study aims at reviewing and synthesizing the determinants factor of depression among adolescent in rural area. Design: This study design was a systematic review using the PICO framework. Data Sources: This data was carried out since June 2021 from various journal databases in the last five years (2017-2021), including ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Taylor & Francis. The keywords combined with Boolean operators (“AND” and “OR”) to find literatures, namely "Factor" OR “Risk Factor” AND “Depression” OR “Depressive” OR “Depress” AND “Adolescent” OR “Teens” AND “Rural”. 13 articles meet the inclusion criteria and meet the qualifications for review. Review Methods: A systematic procedure is used to collect articles, as well as a critical appraisal and data synthesis with qualitative synthesis. Results: Based on a review of several articles, factors that can influence the occurrence of depression in rural adolescents include discrimination, adverse childhood experiences, victimization, socioeconomic migration of parents, family, cellphone addiction, postpartum pregnancy, and gender in adolescents. Conclusion: Overall, these factors can cause psychological pressure and due to poor coping mechanisms resulting in depression in adolescents in rural areas.

Abstract

Background: In dealing with the current condition of the Covid-19 pandemic, the education system finds the alternative and changes the regular learning to an online system. This online system depends on vital aspects such as well-structured, interactive, and substantive programs. Consequently, educators are challenged to be more frequently innovative and active in assessing and evaluating learning needs. Implementing a proper learning method helps to encourage students' willingness to learn since they are the core of the learning process. Therefore, this research considered Problem-based Learning as a suitable learning method to implement and improve clinical skills. By learning from a problem, students are indirectly instructed to learn how to collect and integrate new knowledge. Objectives: This study focuses on determining the implementation of Problem-Based Learning methods on the Leopold maneuver antenatal midwifery care subject in the diploma midwifery students. Methods: This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The samples in this study are 30 students from Megarezky University. Data are analyzed by univariate and bivariate with chi-square test. This study uses a questionnaire to measure students' interest and motivation in participating in learning in antenatal care courses, and to measure skills in performing the Leopold maneuver using a standardized checklist from the Antenatal Care Module of the Ministry of Health. This research is conducted within two months (December to January 2022). Results: The result reveals that the Problem-Based Learning Method (PBL) effectively increases the score of students' clinical skills with a p-value: 0.000 < 0.05. Conclusion: Problem-Based Learning Method (PBL) effectively improves the clinical skills of Leopold maneuver Antenatal care.

Abstract

Background: One strategy to reduce the hospital readmission rate of stroke patients is to implement transitional care. Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the application of transitional care to the hospital readmission rate of stroke patients. Design: Design of this literature review was A Systematic review. Data Sources: We searched English articles in PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE, and Science Direct databases from January 2016 to September 28, 2021. Participants in the study were adults (17 years old or older) who had transitioned from hospital to home care. The included publications were mined for information on study features and research findings. Review Methods: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement was followed when conducting this review. The study question and search method were developed with the aid of the PICO framework, which provides descriptions of participants, interventions, comparisons, and results. Results: Eight articles were reviewed regarding the outcomes of implementing transitional care on readmission rates and satisfaction in stroke patients. All reviewed articles showed decreased readmission rates and increased patient satisfaction. There were some differences in the transitional care process, team coordinator, duration of transition care follow-up, and service satisfaction. Conclusion: Our findings show that the application of transitional care has a positive impact on decreasing readmission rates before 30 days and increasing patient satisfaction with nursing care. Transitional care policies need to be considered to reduce readmission rates in an effort to improve the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Background: The activity of the sandstone home industry has a high risk of occupational lung disease, namely silicosis with exposure to respirable dust that contains silica below 2.5 microns. The craftsmen of the sandstone home industry must have good knowledge and attitudes in order to apply occupational lung disease prevention. Objectives: The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of health education on the level of knowledge and attitude of sandstone craftsmen about occupational lung disease prevention. Methods: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-posttest design approach. This research was conducted in the sandstone home industry, Gamping Village, Tulungagung from June until July 2021. The sampling technique was total sampling with a number of samples were 20 respondents. This study used health education materials about occupational lung disease prevention for the treatment given and a modified questionnaire from Rahmania (2011) with a significance of validity for the knowledge and attitude instrument were α < 0.05 and Cronbach Alpha values ​​for knowledge and attitudes respectively 0.680 and 0.70. This research was conducted by providing health education to respondents about occupational lung disease prevention. Before and after the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a pre-posttest to measure and evaluate the respondents' level of knowledge and attitude about occupational lung disease prevention. The statistical test carried out in this study was the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significant level α < 0.05. Results: Based on the data analysis by using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, there was an effect of health education about occupational lung disease prevention on the level of sandstone craftsmen’s knowledge (p-value = 0.000) and attitude (p-value = 0.000). Conclusion: It is important to provide health education about the health effect of sandstone dust and the prevention so that craftsmen have a good knowledge and attitudes in implementing to prevent of occupational lung diseases. Health education or counseling needs to be provided by health workers periodically.

Abstract

Background: Good service quality not only measures the luxury of the facility, but from employee behavior and behavior should reflect high professionalism and commitment. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Organizational Commitment with Quality of Nursing Service in Inpatient Room of the RSI Sakinah Mojokerto. Methods: This research used Cross Sectional approach. The population of all nurses in the Inpatient Room of the RSI Sakinah Mojokerto, who spoke 85 nurses. Technique Sampling used in this study was Total Sampling and obtained by sample counted 85 respondents. The data source used the primary data obtained through the questionnaire. Data analysis was using the Spearman Rank Test. Results: The results of this study were obtained almost entirely (76.5%) Organizational Commitment in Inpatient Room of RSI Sakinah Mojokerto included in the category of High Organizational Commitment. Nursing Care Quality (Nursing Care Standards and Professional Performance Standards Nurses) at the RSI Sakinah Mojokerto Inpatient Hospital RSI was almost entirely included in the good category. The result of Spearman Rank test statistic with sig level (.05), got correlation value .000 (< .05) meaning that there was a correlation of Organization Commitment with Nursing Care Quality (Nursing Care Standard and Professional Performance Standard of Nurse) at Inpatient Room of the RSI Sakinah Mojokerto. Conclusion: The task of the hospital as a health service institution was to improve the skills, speed, ease and accuracy in conducting the practice of nursing health services and more responsible in providing services so as to maintain commitment to the organization.
